Ernie was a nice cat
but his claws were kind of long
And he dug them in my leg
As I tried to sing my song
 

So I gave up on my singing
and put Ernie on my knee
So Ernie wouldn’t damage
any other parts of me
 

And then his claws sunk in my knee
And I said – Yikes! – he’s stuck in me!
And I said Yikes! – what do I do?
And then I thought – Let him sing too!
 

And he said – Meow!
And I said – Ow!
And he said – Meow! Meow! Meow!
And I said – Ow! Ow! Ow!

 

And then his claws sunk in my knee
And I said- Yikes! – he’s stuck in me!

So Ernie – he was hairy
and he shed a lot of hair
And I was quite allergic
as I sat there in my chair
 

But I gave up on my sneezing
and left Ernie on my knee
Hoping Ernie would stop shedding
all his cat hair over me
 

I said – Achoo!
He said – Boo Hoo!
I said – Achoo!
He said – Boo Hoo!
 

And then his claws sunk in my knee
And I said – Yikes! – he’s stuck in me!
And I said Yikes! – what do I do?
And then I thought – Let him sing too!
 

And he said – Meow!
And I said – Ow!
And he said – Meow! Meow! Meow!
And I said – Ow! Ow! Ow!

And I said- Yikes! –
