Where the Water’s Deep

She was really tired
but she couldn’t sleep
She was thinking of
where they used to meet

When they’d both sneak out
and meet by the creek
And go skinny dipping
where the water’s deep

She’d been full of life
She’d been wild and free
She was older now
sitting drinking tea

But her wilder side
It was still right there
Though she acted like
she would never care

And she wondered why
she had changed so much
As she carefully
ate her fancy lunch

There was something there
needed to come out
There was more to life
she thought she should shout

She was tired of sitting
in a fancy dress …..
She was tired of never
looking like a mess …..

She was really tired
but she couldn’t sleep
She was thinking of
where they used to meet ……
